Shelley man charged with lewd conduct with 12-year-old Idaho Falls girl

Idaho Falls Police arrested Ruben R. Ponce, 19, of Shelley Monday morning on a warrant for lewd conduct with a child under 16.

Police said Ponce was being investigated for reports he had sexual relations with a 12-year-old Idaho Falls girl he met on Facebook. It was first reported to police on September 12.

The incident happened in the 1400 block of West Broadway.
