Detailed Forecast for Oct. 19, 2016

A ridge of warming and drier weather will take hold for the rest of the week. We’ll still have a slight chance of snow and rain for areas east of the Snake River Plain for Wednesday morning. Soda Springs, Bear Lake, Driggs, Jackson, Afton and Island Park will have a slight chance of snow/rain in the morning. For the rest of the region, we’ll be cool and sunny with highs into the upper 40’s and lower 50’s. Overnight lows will drop back into the 20’s. Wednesday, partly cloudy with a cloudy sky over the Wyoming border areas. A slight chance of morning rain and snow. Snake River Plain communities will still be cold, with highs near 50°. Tonight, clearing skies and very cold temps setting up with lows dipping into the 10’s and 20’s. Patchy valley fog is possible especially over the Eastern Highlands. Thursday – Saturday, mostly sunny with a warming trend. Daytime highs will be into the mid 50’s to lower 60’s. Overnight lows back to the mid to lower 30’s in the Snake River Plain
