Man gets at least 30 years in basement kidnap
A man who pleaded guilty to tying up five people in a Utah basement has been sentenced to at least 30 years up to life in prison, clearing the way for him to face murder charges in Wyoming that could carry the death penalty.

Authorities say the 23-year-old man and his father killed a train worker in Wyoming while on the run from police after restraining and beating a woman and her four daughters. The woman and her daughters escaped.
Police say the suspects hid in the Salt Lake City area before kidnapping the 63-year-old man and beating him to death.
They were arrested in Wyoming after a manhunt.
