Fire damages Bonneville County home
A chimney fire caused an estimated $75,000 damage to a single-family home at 11331 N. 75th E. Wednesday.
The Idaho Falls Fire Department said occupants had evacuated the home before firefighters arrived.
Firemen said the fire extended from a wood burning stove in the basement to a masonry chimney and into the attic and walls. They said fire escaped the masonry chimney and got into the structure of the home.
The fire was confined to an area immediately around the chimney.
