Detailed Forecast for Nov. 16, 2016

A cold front is marching through the region with scattered rain and snow showers this morning. By Wednesday a much stronger push of cold air will drop temps significantly and bring in rain changing over to snow by the evening hours! Wednesday, the cold front will be pushing through Wyoming by the latter half of the morning with dropping temps throughout the day. Count on falling snow levels in the evening after the storm slides through. Some of the valley locations could see a few snow showers for the first time this season. Highs a bit cooler with the storm, most places topping out in the upper 40’s. Tonight, snow showers especially from the Snake River Plain and east towards the Wyoming line. Accumulations will be limited for places like the Snake River Plain but several inches of snow are possible in the high country above 7000 feet! Chance of snow 70%. Thursday, expect A 40% chance of light snow showers with mostly cloudy conditions. High’s near 39° in the Snake River Plain. New snow accumulation of less than one inch possible. Friday, patchy freezing fog with lots of sunshine expected by the afternoon! Temps will be much colder with highs into the 30’s and low 40’s.
