Overall a quieter start to the week with the driest days being Tuesday into early Wednesday before our next significant winter storm arrives. Periods of snow expected by Wednesday afternoon and Thursday. Tuesday, a bit of a lull between storms. Count on partly to mostly cloudy skies with just a few snow flurries in the high country. Highs in the 20’s and low 30’s. Tonight, some passing clouds but generally clear with bitter cold temps as lows fall into the single digits and teens with some mountain valleys dropping below zero. Wednesday, starting out somewhat clear with increasing clouds after sunrise as a storm moves in from the south. Count on periods of snow with a few valley locations switching over to rain overnight as relatively warm air moves in. Highs in the 20’s and 30’s. Chance of snow 100%. Thursday, snow changing to rain throughout the morning and afternoon for the Snake River Plain with heavy snow expected into the high country. Highs warming into the 30’s and 40’s with a southwest wind from 10-20mph.
