Mountain locations could see over 10″, east of the Snake River Plain and across the Sawtooths. Wednesday, starting out somewhat quiet with increasing clouds after sunrise as a storm moves in from the south. Count on periods of snow with a few valley locations switching over to rain overnight as relatively warm air moves in. Highs in the 20’s and 30’s. Chance of snow 100%. Tonight, heavy snow to continue in the high country with a switch to a wintry mix and rain for the valley locations. A few areas could see some freezing rain for a brief period making travel extremely difficult. Chance of precip 100%. Thursday, snow changing to rain throughout the morning and afternoon for the Snake River Plain with heavy snow expected into the high country. Highs warming into the 30’s and 40’s with a southwest wind from 15-30mph. Chance of precip 100%. Friday, colder air returns across the board switching all moisture back to snow for an additional 2-4″ across the Snake River Plain with much more into the mountains. Chance of snow 100%.
