Shelley man arrested for multiple burglaries

After receiving multiple complaints from several retailers, Idaho Falls Police arrested Tyler J. Ker,37, of Shelley Tuesday.

Officers responded to Shopko at 800 E. 17th Street after the store reported a burglary complaint at 1:54 p.m. According to reports, Shopko employees reported a man, later identified as Ker, walked out of their store with $681 in stolen merchandise. Employees said Ker left in a white Oldsmobile Alero.

Ker was found and stopped by officers just south of the intersection of 17th and Holmes.

During the stop, police said they discovered Ker had merchandise apparently stolen from Walmart, valued at $373, and Home Depot, valued at $103.

Ker was booked into the Bonneville County jail on burglary charges.
