Safety projects considered in Blackfoot, Pocatello and Teton County

The Idaho Transportation Department is taking public comments on a variety of public safety improvement projects.

Three are in eastern Idaho.

They include a $912,800 project to install new traffic signals at the U.S. 30 / Philbin Road intersection in Pocatello.

A shoulder widening project on S. 4500 West in Teton County would cost $365,000.

And, the department is proposing a $278,000 project to install a flashing beacon at the Idaho 91/West Pacific Street intersection in Blackfoot.

Other projects are planned in Benewah, Gooding, and Bonner Counties, Twin Falls, Gooding, Mountain Home, and Priest River.
