Pocatello Representative released from hospital

Pocatello State Representative Elaine Smith has been released from a Utah hospital. Smith checked into the hospital last Thursday for work to be done on a heart pacemaker. Smith called Local News 8 and Channel 3 Eyewitness News Tuesday afternoon to report she is now home in Pocatello and regaining her strength. She expects to be back in the legislature within a few weeks. In the meantime, Eva Nye, the wife of State Senator Mark Nye, has been filling Smith’s seat in the House. Smith said Nye had been doing “a great job”.
