Evening Forecast for Feb. 4
What a difference a few degrees makes. A lot of locals finally made it above freezing and it felt pretty nice outside, minus the wind.
Tonight, off-and-on rain/snow showers with the eastern highlands above 7000 feet getting around 3-5 more inches of snow. Winds will still be blowing out of the southwest, making it a mild but windy night. Overnight lows will mainly be in the upper 20’s and low to mid-30’s.
Sunday, mostly cloudy skies with scattered rain/snow showers. Southwesterly winds will bring mild temps with highs in the 30’s and low 40’s.
Monday, overcast skies with scattered rain/snow showers. Relatively mild temps and southwesterly in the 30’s and 40’s means snow will mainly stick to the higher elevations between 6500-7000 feet.
Tuesday, partly to mostly cloudy skies with north breezes. A cold front will slide through in the early morning hours bringing snow showers and highs in the 20’s. Count on only light snow totals with less than 2 inches in the valleys and around 2-6 inches in the mountains.
