Pocatello’s spring fair attracts large crowds
Idaho State University’s Holt Arena in Pocatello has been pretty full the past few days for Pocatello’s annual spring fair.
Booth after booth filled the inside of Holt Arena. Dozens of vendors came out to meet community members and show off their products.
The booths had a little bit of everything – food, clothing, jewelry, homemade chocolates and candy, hot tubs and even wine products.
Vendors said foot traffic and business has been great for this year’s fair.
“The past few days have actually been pretty steady, pretty busy,” said Ashley Denton, with
Starr International. “We’ve had a lot of fun people come through and it’s been filled with noise and people and fun. The food vendors are doing awesome, a lot of us have a lot of interesting stuff to do and look at. so it’s been fun, it’s been steady.”
“The spring fair has been good this year,” said Chris Merrill, with Caramel Tree. “We’ve had just a little bit of an increase over previous years before. Sold a lot of candy.”
Vendors said no matter how business is, it’s worth it for them to come out to the fair.
“It’s beneficial because it puts local businesses out there so other people are aware of like, ‘hey, these neighbors are doing this and this in the community,'” Denton said.
The spring fair is put on by Ravens Productions, who has been doing it for more than 20 years. It’s considered one of the premiere home, garden and RV shows in Southeast Idaho.
