Crash near Blackhawk Estates subdivision damages power line

Update: Traffic on the road has reopened to local traffic while Rocky Mountain Power continues to repair the damaged power pole.

The Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office says that the driver of the vehicle was driving up the road when the vehicle went of the road and rolled into the power pole. The driver was taken to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center but was conscious and talking when the ambulance left.

Original Story: Emergency crews are responding to a crash in the Blackhawk Estates subdivision that knocked down a power line in the area.

The crash happened on 45th East and Ledge Rock Road. Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office and Idaho Falls Fire Department are on site working to clear the crash.

Crews are keeping people from getting too near to the crash at the moment because of the downed power line. Rocky Mountain power is on site to repair the damaged pole.
