I.F. man arrested for felony domestic battery

Idaho Falls Police arrested Juan L. Malagon,29, of Idaho Falls for felony domestic battery and malicious injury to property early Friday morning. Police were called to a domestic disturbance in the 100 block of Sunset at 12:48 a.m. According to reports, his girlfriend claimed Malagon punched her in the face, then shoved her into a wall and a television. Police said the woman suffered injuries to her face. She was taken to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center for treatment of her injuries. The television was valued $2,200. Both Malagon and his girlfriend left the home before police arrived. Both were found in the 200 block of Wadsworth. According to reports, Malagon attempted to hide from police and resisted arrest by fighting with them. Malagon was also booked into the Bonneville County Jail for assault, resisting arrest, and providing false information to police. He was also wanted on multiple warrants in Bonneville and Bingham Counties.
