Four arrested on drug charges after traffic stop in Idaho Falls

Four people were arrested on a variety of drug charges early Monday morning after the vehicle they were in was pulled over for a traffic violation.

Idaho Falls Police arrested 39 year-old Ernest L. Tuttle for possession of drug paraphernalia and marijuana.

According to police reports, officers stopped a while Ford Focus driven by Tuttle at College and Holmes for a traffic violation early Monday morning. During the stop, officers could smell marijuana coming from the vehicle. Officers discovered Tuttle to be in possession of marijuana, scales and a small case containing a large amount of baggies, often used in drug distribution. Tuttle also had nine grams of methamphetamine.

One of Tuttle’s passengers, 33-year-old Brittany A. Mains of St. Anthony, was also arrested for felony drug possession after she was found in possession of Methamphetamine. She was also arrested for bringing contraband into the jail after Marijuana was found on her.

Two other passengers, 39-year-old Brandy L. Lewis and 26-year-old William N. Linger, were also arrested for drug crimes. Lewis of Idaho Falls was arrested for misdemeanor possession of paraphernalia and Marijuana. Linger or Rigby was arrested for possession of paraphernalia.
