Police: 147 tires scattered along southwestern Idaho road
The Ada County Sheriff’s Office says it’s investigating after someone dumped 147 used tires along a road in southwest Idaho.
Officials say residents along Beacon Light Road discovered the tires Friday morning.
The sheriff’s office says the tires appear to have been tossed from a vehicle as they were spread out along the road rather than grouped in one area.
Sheriff’s office spokesman Patrick Orr says investigators are treating the discarded tires as an illegal dumping.
The potential penalty is six months in jail and a $1,000 fine.
