Idaho Falls begins improvement work on eastside River Walk

The City of Idaho Falls announced Tuesday that Thompson Paving is going to begin making improvements to the eastside River Walk pathway. The improvements span from Vissing Circle to Memorial Drive.

The work should take around two weeks to finish during which time the outside southbound lane will close periodically and traffic will be merged into one lane. During the work it may also be required to close a northbound lane adjacent to Civitan Park reducing the road to one lane.

People are urged to use caution when traveling through the construction area, obey all signs and construction personnel, and reduce speeds to posted limits.

For questions, call the Public Works Department at (208) 612-8250. Additional information on City of Idaho Falls construction projects can be found on the homepage of the city’s website or by clicking HERE.
