Two killed in two separate accidents in Bonneville County

Two different people were killed, early Sunday morning in Bonneville County.

According to the Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office around 12:40 a.m. deputies were called to the Snake River Road near Burns Creek for a vehicle in the river.

Deputies made contact with a man who told them he was a passenger in an SUV driven by 33-year-old Brandon Tyler Osborn of Ammon when they lost control and went off the road into the river.

Two men and one woman all adults were able to get out of the SUV as it was sinking and floating downstream one of them told deputies they did not see Osborn get out and could not find him.

One man started walking to get help as the other two entered a nearby cabin to get warm.

With help from Air Idaho Rescue, the SUV was found downstream near the Fullmer Boat Ramp. This morning, once the sun was up deputies, were able to get to the SUV by boat and recovered Osborne’s body.

Due to hazardous river conditions deputies are still working on getting the SUV out of the river.

Around 2:00 a.m. Bonneville County Deputies were called to a second crash on Blacktail Road a couple miles East of Bone Road to a one vehicle rollover.

When deputies arrived the found a juvenile female driver who told them she lost control of her SUV while going around a curve and went off the road and rolled down an embankment.

Two male passengers were also in the SUV at the time of the crash one of the 18-year-old Martin Cole Baler of Shelley, he was ejected during the rollover and was found dead.

The driver was taken to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical center with minor injuries, the other male passenger was treated by paramedics and released.

Both these crashes are under investigation by the Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office.
