A strong low pressure system is situated over Wyoming for Tuesday spitting back rain and snow across East Idaho and the Tetons. Skies remain fairly cloudy as an approaching storm from the West arrives for Wednesday bringing in much colder air and snow! Tuesday, mostly cloudy with some passing showers from time to time. Highs into the mid 40’s and low 50’s. Windy with winds from the southwest at 20-30mph. Chance of precip 60%. Tonight, partly to mostly cloudy with a slight chance of some light showers. Breezy with winds from 10-25mph. Lows into the 30’s. Chance of precip 30%. Wednesday, partly sunny during the morning as we await another surge of moisture and cooler temps that will arrive throughout the afternoon. Gusty winds as rain and snow move in after lunch with highs near 50°. Chance of precip 100%. Thursday overcast with an 80% chance of snow and wintry mix. Highs into the 30’s and 40’s. Snow accumulations less than an inch for the Snake River Plain, but 3-5″ for the mountain valleys and over 6″ for the mountains.
