“Relight” brings another historic sign back to life

Old Town Pocatello started glowing a little brighter this past weekend.

The Relight the Night campaign was able to restore the old Chopstick Cafe neon sign that had been sitting dark for years, before the switch was flipped and it was able to glow once again after the May 5 Friday night Art Walk.

Relight the Night’s Randy Dixon posted on his Facebook page this weekend, the group has successfully been able to restore five historic neon signs in Old Town, including the famous Chief Theatre sign, since the group formed back in 2012.

The goal of Relight the Night is to raise money to help preserve Old Town Pocatello’s iconic history that has slowly dimmed over the years.
