Teen held on murder charge in recorded death of Utah girl
Authorities say a Utah teenager is jailed on a murder charge after he allegedly recorded the death of a 16-year-old girl found hanged from a tree in Payson Canyon over the weekend.
Utah County sheriff’s Sgt. Spencer Cannon tells the Salt Lake Tribune that 18-year-old Tyerell Joe Przybycien approached deputies at the scene Saturday evening and said he had wanted to see what it was like to see someone die.
Cannon says the 16-year-old Spanish Fork girl didn’t return home Friday and was reported missing Saturday by her mother.
Cannon says a cellphone recording shows Przybycien talking with the girl and her standing on a rock with the rope tied around her neck before she inhales compressed air from a canister and falls unconscious.
