Even warmer weather sets in for Thursday with high pressure. Our ridge begins to break down Thursday night, allowing a cold front to swing thru on Friday and into the weekend. FLOOD WARNINGS and FLOOD WATCHES remain in effect for several of our area waterways especially across Central Idaho due to the rapid snowmelt from the mountains. Continue to monitor the situation if you live near a river or stream. Also, the Henry’s Fork near Rexburg is expected to reach flood stage by Friday. Tonight, clear and crisp with lows dropping down into the 30’s and 40’s. Thursday, mostly sunny and very warm with highs topping out in the 70’s and low 80’s. Winds picking up slightly out of the southwest at 10-20mph late in the afternoon. Friday, Partly to mostly cloudy with a 30% percent chance of showers and thunderstorms late in the day and overnight. Highs into the mid 70’s. Windy with gusts possibly exceeding 40mph. Saturday, Partly sunny with some morning showers and afternoon thunderstorms. Highs into the 60’s for the Snake River Plain.
