Teton County Sheriff’s Office investigating bomb threat at Victor Health Clinic

The Teton County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a bomb threat that was made against the Victor Health Clinic Tuesday morning.

Staff members at the clinic received a threat that a bomb had been placed at the clinic this morning. They promptly evacuated the building and notified the sheriff’s office.

The sheriff’s office responded along with Teton County Fire and Rescue to the clinic and cleared the area. With the help of the Idaho Falls Regional Bomb Squad, the clinic was cleared and it was determined that there was no bomb and the threat was unfounded. The sheriff’s office is now investigation the source of the threat.

Traffic was initially diverted from Highway 33 onto surrounding roads, but at this time all roads are open. Buildings in the surrounding area were evacuated as a precaution, but everyone has been allowed to return to work or to their homes.

The case is still under investigation. We will provide updates as they become available.
