Electricity rate adjustments approved
Customers of Idaho Power Company and Rocky Mountain Power will see changes in their electricity bills beginning this month. Idaho Power Company rates will be going up by almost two dollars a month for most customers. The price hike is due to increases in the company’s fixed cost adjustment for wholesale power purchases. The adjustment was approved by the Idaho Public Utilities Commission. Rocky Mountain Power customers will see a slight decrease this year because of lower-than-expected power supply costs. The decrease will be around 73 cents per month for a typical residential customer. Both rate adjustments begin June 1.
