I-15 construction between Pocatello and Arimo begins Monday

A series of maintenance projects are scheduled to begin Monday, June 5 on the 30 mile stretch of Interstate 15 between Pocatello and Arimo.

Workers will be resurfacing seven miles of the interstate between Arimo and McCammon, repairing bridges at the South Inkom Interchange and Rapid Creek Bridge in Inkom and replacing guardrails on both sides of the interstate between Pocatello and Inkom.

The Idaho Transportation Department says I-15 will be reduced to one lane in both directions during the majority of the construction and asks you allow extra time to travel through the construction zones.

ITD plans to invest $95 million in bridge repairs and pavement improvements on I-15 in 2017 and 2018.

Construction is expected to continue for the next several years.
