New parkour gym opens in Idaho Falls

A new parkour gym is open in Idaho Falls, called Streamline Parkour.

This is the first place dedicated entirely to parkour in the Gem State. Parkour is a new sport gaining popularity in the last decade, where people flip and jump over obstacles. It’s non-competitive and specializes in speed and efficiency of movement through obstacles. It’s strong use of cardio is the benefit, but it also builds muscle and helps your balance.

“A lot of people think about it as a kind of fun center like iJump or the Gravity Factory opening up in Rexburg now, but it’s more of a sport. So they come to train. We try to get people here who are dedicated, get them here two to three times a week so I can I train them and teach them myself. And that’s my favorite thing is to actually see them grow,” Lehi Bennion, the owner, said.

Streamline Parkour is located at 2728 East 14th North Unit D in Idaho Falls. It has classes available for ages 8 and up.
