Bonneville County closes Snake River Road in Heise area
Bonneville County Road and Bridge closed the Snake River Road in the Heise area due to flooding issues.
Sgt. Bryan Lovell says the closure runs just past the Kelly Island Campground to the intersection with Table Rock Road.
Heise officials said Heise is still open as the closure is past the Kelly Island Campground.
Lovell said this will affect anyone planning to camp or recreate this weekend along the Wolf Flats area of the Snake River. He asks the public, especially boaters, to avoid this area.
Authorities say the closure is in effect until further notice. They expect high river flows to continue for the next couple of weeks.
