Win a new Ford pickup at the Great Snake River Greenbelt Duck Race

A shiny new Ford pickup is the grand prize for the annual Great Snake River Greenbelt Duck Race.

Broadway Ford donated a $60,000 truck to the Idaho Falls Rotary Club, and whoever’s yellow rubber duck is first down the river gets it. The proceeds from this year’s duck race will help fund the development of Heritage Park off Sunnyside Road near Snake River Landing for two years.

The date is pushed back by one week to August 19, 2017 to accommodate everyone during the total solar eclipse.

“We’re really excited about the Duck Race this year because of the eclipse coming to our area. We worked with the city and the city kind of asked us to move the duck race a week later so that we can have a great event in Idaho Falls for all those folks who will be visiting,” said Kevin Call, the event coordinator for the Duck Race and owner of Faar’s Ice Cream.

This will be the 27th year of the Duck Race. With combined funds from each duck race, about $4 million was raised and put toward the Greenbelt.
