Arrest made in Ammon homicide investigation
The Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office said Wednesday evening an arrest was made in connection to a homicide investigation from early July.
In a press release, the department said Jameion K. Hernandez, 20 of Ammon, was arrested and charged with murder following the discovery of a decomposing body inside the Ammon home on July 1.
Hernandez was scheduled for arraignment at the Bonneville County Courthouse Thursday afternoon
The body was decomposed so much that it’s not recognizable, Sheriff Paul Wilde said in a press conference July 3. He said it has been there for at least a week or more. They can’t determine the age of the person but were able to confirm it was that of a female.
The home at 2390 Ross Avenue is owned by Lisa Stukey. Investigators can not confirm she is the deceased person.
Detectives are searching the home and talking with those who know Stukey, the sheriff said. He said they’re treating it as a homicide investigation at this point.
An autopsy was ordered and will take time to get the results, Wilde said.
The press released said more information on the arrest would be made available Thursday.
