Idaho Falls 17th and St. Clair intersection improvements to start July 24

HK Contractors, Inc. will begin construction at the intersection of 17th Street and St. Clair Road Monday, July 24.

The company said crews will be installing water lines, water valves, hydrants, underground bores and a traffic signal system and will be removing and replacing curb and gutter, sidewalk and asphalt in affected areas.

HK said the construction is scheduled to accommodate temporary water services and access to local residents.

Local businesses will be accessible during construction; however, short term closures will take place throughout the project.

Officials ask you watch for equipment and workmen and follow all traffic signs, flaggers and reduced speed limits.

HK estimates the project will take two months to complete.
