Weather update for July 23rd & 24th
Thunderstorm activity is expected to continue through Sunday, however little rain is reaching the ground with these storms. Isolated lighting strikes and winds up to 40 mph are possible.
A cluster of storms is expected to develop over Southwestern Idaho late on Monday morning and head East across the Eastern Magic Valley and the Southern Highlands.
Thunderstorms that are capable of producing heavy rains are possible on Tuesday and Wednesday. If these storms pass over any recent burn scars, flash flooding could happen. Temperatures will start to cool down by 10 degrees on Tuesday and Wednesday and we could see more cloud cover. However, humidity will start to rise on those days, so it will be muggy across the region.
Next weekend expect drier weather conditions and temperatures in the 90’s.
Thunderstorm activity for the rest of the week is possible, however the chance of storms decreases each day as a ridge of high pressure builds back up in the region.
Monday: Mostly sunny, with highs in the low 90’s.
Tuesday: Chance of isolated thunderstorms, with highs in the 80’s.
Wednesday: Chance of isolated thunderstorms, with highs in the 80’s.
