Rattlesnake spotted in Utah neighborhood taken into custody
Authorities in Utah have taken a rattlesnake into custody after it was spotted in a city neighborhood.
KUTV-TV reports the Bountiful City Police Department handled the snake on Tuesday.
The snake appears to be a Great Basin rattlesnake, a sub species of the Western rattlesnake.
A tweet credited Bountiful police Officer Syrett with taking the reptile “into protective custody.”
The great basin rattler is one of seven dangerous snake species in Utah.
