Firefighters rescue drunken man stuck in pipe
Boise firefighters say they rescued a drunken man who fell into a pipe at a construction site.
Firefighters found the man stuck in a vertical corrugated pipe 28″ (71 centimeters) in diameter on Sunday. They believe the man climbed up and inside the pipe and then jumped into the pipe and then went completely underwater after he reached 10 to 15 feet (3 to 5 meters) below the opening.
Rescuers say the man managed to swim to the surface and lodge his knees and arms against the pipe to avoid falling into the water again. According to officials, someone called 911 after they heard the man crying for help.
It is unclear whether the man sustained any injuries from the incident.
