Grizzly bear relocated to Fall Creek
An adult male grizzly bear that was getting into livestock feed west of Meeteetse, Wyoming has been trapped and relocated. Wyoming Game and Fish personnel captured the bear August 11. In cooperation with the Caribou-Targhee National Forest, the bear was relocated to the Fall Creek drainage approximately 25 miles northwest of Moran Junction. That area is located in occupied grizzly bear habitat. The agency said the relocation is intended to minimize conflicts between humans and grizzly bears and is critical to the recovery of the population. Bears can create conflicts after they have obtained food rewards.
