Shooting in Downey area leaves one dead

Bannock County deputies responded to a suspicious incident in the Downey area around 4:12 a.m. Friday.

Officials report upon initial investigation, a shooting occurred at a residence leaving one person deceased.

The sheriff’s office said at this point, there is no evidence indicating any further threat to the citizens of Downey or Bannock County.

The Bannock County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating the incident as an isolated incident.
