One Person Dead, Two Injured in Shooting Near Bear Lake
One person has died and two others are in the hospital after the Rich County Sheriff’s Office received reports of a suicidal man shooting a firearm into homes on Sunday afternoon.
When sheriff’s deputies responded to the Sweetwater Trailer Park at around 1:50 p.m. Sunday, the gunman had shot three people, two were taken to the hospital, and one had been pronounced dead at the scene.
The names of the shooter and suspects are still unknown.
The State of Utah has sent a crime scene team to assist the Rich County Sheriff’s Office with this investigation.
