Idaho Falls man sentenced for part in fatal accident
A 59-year-old Idaho Falls man has been sentenced to 45 days in jail for his part in a traffic accident June 28, 2017.
Dirk Johnson was charged with misdemeanor vehicular manslaughter without gross negligence.
Johnson also faces a $1,000 fine, restitution and court costs. Judge Ryan Boyer also ordered Johnson to serve 100 hours of community service followed by a suspended probation. Instead, the Judge asked Johnson to speak with driver training courses.
A restitution hearing is set for February 8 in Blackfoot.
