Police remind you to lock your vehicles during holidays
The holidays are nearly here, and Pocatello Police Department officers are spreading a few tips keep your holidays merry and bright.
Officers remind you to lock your vehicles when you are at home and when you are out doing your holiday shopping.
“Criminals are primarily opportunists,” said Lieutenant Ian Nelson with the Pocatello Police Department. “If they see a car with an unlocked door or a vehicle with a window that is cracked open that has merchandise in it, they’ll spring at the chance to make away with your stuff.”
Officers said if you do have to leave valuables in a vehicle, lock it in your trunk or place the item out of sight.
