Regional hospitals report quality awards
Teton Valley Health Care in Driggs and Madison Memorial Hospital in Rexburg have been recognized with a Performance Leadership Award for Quality. The recognition came from the National Organization of State Office of Rural Health.
According to Teton Valley Health Care, the award reflects overall excellence in quality.
“Of course, this level of recognition is very significant for TVHC,” said CEO Keith Gnagey. “More importantly, such stellar results should further strengthen community confidence in the excellent care you receive at TVHC. We’re one of two Idaho rural hospitals to achieve this status, and I can assure you that every single member of the TVHC team has worked very hard to bring home the NOSORH Award.”
Meantime, Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center reports it has received an “A” grade in the bi-annual Hospital Safety Score published by The Leapfrog Group. The designation recognizes exceptional performance in evidence-based patient safety guidelines.
“At EIRMC, patient safety is a top priority,” EIRMC CEO Doug Crabtree said. “This rating confirms our ability to prevent infections and injuries, medical and medication errors, and an overall commitment to patient safety and quality. We have so many things to be proud of at EIRMC and our continued achievement of the Hospital Safety ‘A’ grade is one of them.”
