BYU-I commencement set Friday
Brigham Young University-Idaho will award 1,794 bachelor’s degrees and 553 associate degrees during fall commencement exercises in Rexburg Friday. There will be 2,322 graduates in all.
Bishop W. Christopher Waddell, second counselor in the Presiding Bishopric of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will be keynote speaker.
Commencement will begin at 5:45 p.m. in the BYU-Idaho Center.
Bishop Waddell was sustained as a member of the Presiding Bishopric of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in October 2015. At the time of his call, he had been serving as a General Authority Seventy.
Bishop Waddell has served in numerous Church callings, including full-time missionary in Spain, bishop, high councilor, mission president’s counselor, stake president, president of the Barcelona Spain Mission, and Area Seventy.
