Mosiah Prettypaint dies at hospital after found unresponsive in jail cell

UPDATE 1/9/18 10:23 a.m.: The Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office has been informed that Mosiah Prettypaint has passed away while at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center (EIRMC).

Prettypaint is registered out of Utah as an Organ Donor, and the Bonneville County Coroner is working with Intermountain Donor Services to facilitate the Organ Donor process per Prettypaint’s wishes.

The sheriff’s office reports an autopsy will also be scheduled in coordination with the organ donation procedures.

The Tri-County Sheriff’s Association continues to investigate this incident at the request of the Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office, and there is no further information available at this time.

Bonneville County Jail Deputies found inmate Mosiah Prettypaint unresponsive in his cell around 4:40 p.m. Sunday.

Deputies immediately began CPR and the use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED).

An Idaho Falls ambulance transported Prettypaint to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center (EIRMC) where he is undergoing treatment and is being guarded by Sheriff’s Office Deputies.

Bonneville County Sheriff Paul J. Wilde has contacted the Tri-County Sheriff’s Association to investigate this incident, and no further information is available at this time.
