Idaho Falls University Place closed Friday, Jan. 12 due to ruptured water main

The University Place campus in Idaho Falls will be closed to faculty, staff and students on Friday, Jan. 12 due to a ruptured ​water main.

Officials report the broken water main is in a parking lot and has a route to a drain.

According to ISU, the issue is not causing a major disruption today nor is it causing damage to buildings, but water will have to be turned off Jan. 12 so the line can be repaired.

Classes will resume on Tuesday, Jan. 16 as there are no classes on Monday, Jan. 15, Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.
