Romney announces run for US Senate
Amid months of speculation, Former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney has announced he will run for the U.S. Senate seat representing the state of Utah.
He made the announcement over Twitter on Friday morning saying, “I have decided to run for United States Senate because I believe I can help bring Utah’s values and Utah’s lessons to Washington.”
The 2012 republican presidential nominee will aim to replace Orrin Hatch in November’s election.
The longtime senator announced his retirement in January.
