Flood Warnings for Snake and Portneuf Rivers
Flood warnings have been issued for The Snake River in Jefferson County and the Portneuf River in Pocatello.
The National Weather Service in Pocatello has issued a Flood Warning for Portneuf River at Pocatello AFFECTING Bannock County
Warm weather over the past couple of days has accelerated snowmelt runoff into the Portneuf River. The higher flow will push the river just above its flood stage until tomorrow evening with cooler temperatures in the forecast.

* Impact…At 8.5 feet…(or 792 cfs) Sections of Sacajawea Park will
be under water and the trail is usually closed at this level. Marsh
Creek near Inkom may also be over its banks.

The National Weather Service in Pocatello has issued a Flood Warning for the Snake River near Menan AFFECTING Jefferson County For the Snake River, including Snake River near Menan. Minor Flooding is occurring, with River levels forecast to fall.
Increased releases from Palisades Reservoir have produced high flows along the Snake River.Seep and ponding in fields and low-lying areas is expected and will continue until reservoir releases are decreased or irrigation demand increases.
Recreationists are encouraged to be cautious of high and swift flows along the Snake River. Keep children and pets away from river banks.

Fork downstream to the Roberts area will have minor flooding or
seep/ponding of water. Menan Buttes boat launch will be flooded.
