Peyton Whitaker brings home Athlete of the Week honors April 17th
Our Sermon Service and Electric Athlete of the week for April 17th helped his team take down a school rival.
He contributed at the plate, but it was his impressive performance on that mound that stands out from the rest.
Shelley pitcher Peyton Whitaker threw a no hitter as the russets beat Firth on the road.
Whitaker struck out six cougar batters in the seven nothing win and allowed just one walk, which ended up being the only baserunner between him and a perfect game.
On top of the stellar pitching performance, Whitaker went two for four at the plate with two R-B-I and two runs scored.
Congratulations to Peyton Whitaker, he will receive a plaque from Crown Trophy for being named our Athlete of the Week.
