1 killed in train vs truck crash

Minidoka County Sheriff’s Office responded to the intersection of 800 East North Hwy 24 in Rupert for a truck vs train crash Friday around 8:10 a.m.

30-year-old Ismael Galaviz Victorio of Rupert was traveling southbound on 800 East Road when he failed to yield to the train.

Officers said he died at the scene as a result of his injuries.

The crash is under investigation.
