Eastern Idaho store celebrates Free Comic Book day

Today is National Free Comic Book day, and Outland Comics in Idaho Falls joined thousands of other comic book shops around the world to celebrate.

Located at 2095 E. 17th Street, this is the 14th year Outland Comics has celebrated this national day.

The store participates by offering a variety of free comics, that range from titles like Riverdale to Adventure Time.

Outland Comics wants to continue to spread the word that comics are alive and well and that the interest is growing. Their goal with Free Comic Book Day is to allow people of all ages an opportunity to discover or rediscover the fun found in contemporary comic books.

“There’s plenty of comic book movies out and I would encourage any family come in, bring your kids, to learn the real story and the history behind all these characters that they’re not seeing on the big screen,” said Dean Grotzinger, owner of Outland Comics.

This is the 16th year National Free Comic Book Day has been going on.
