Jefferson County voters shifted to new precincts
New voting locations have been created in Jefferson County. Up to 2,150 voters, most of whom live south and east of Rigby, will be affected by the creation of three new precincts.
“We have had significant growth in this area, and many voters experienced long waits during elections,” said Shonna Allred, Jefferson County Elections Administrator.
In response to the overcrowded polls, the Jefferson County Board of Commissioners approved the new precincts, Rigby No. 5, Rigby No. 6 and Rigby No. 7. These precincts are located south of Highway 48 between 3800 East and 4200 East.
Voters in these precincts were formerly in the Garfield and Rigby No. 3 precincts.

“If you arrive at the wrong polling place, you will not be able to vote there,” Allred said.
