2 arrested on theft and drug charges

Idaho Falls Police reports two individuals were arrested Tuesday around 9:00 a.m. on the 500 block of Moonlite Drive after officers responded to a report of a person violating a contact order.

Officers found 32-year-old Aaron Freer and 30-year-old Jennifer Schmitt in possession of a significant amount of stolen property and heroin and paraphernalia.

Freer and Schmitt were then arrested.

Freer was charged with CPO violation, felony possession of heroin and paraphernalia charges.

Schmitt was charged with paraphernalia and felony charges of forgery and grand theft.

The case is still open, and police are still investigating.
