Regional fire training set Saturday
Several federal, state and local firefighting agencies will convene in Driggs Saturday for an Upper Snake Interagency Wildfire Group training exercise.
The exercise will help train individuals from each agency about how to partner with interagency partners in various scenarios. They will also practice structure protection, radio communication and firefighting tactics.
It will begin at 9:30 a.m. at the Teton County Search and Rescue Building on Highway 33 in Driggs.
An incident command center will be set up and numerous fire trucks will report there.
The public can expect to see increased emergency vehicle traffic during the exercise. Training stations will also be established along Syringa Drive, Wet Henderson and Dry Henderson Roads until about 4:30 p.m. Saturday.
